The 2 faced double standards of Stoke City Council are in evidence in todays Sentinel, an article regarding a van street license, refused by the planning committee. One of the reasons for refusal was the close proximity of a nearby takeaway (in actual fact about quarter of a mile away) so the competition aspect was taken into account. One councillor in particular, the two faced ar*ole, Brian Ward, says "we should support small businesses that are the backbone of this country". It's a pity he didn't adopt that attitude 2 years ago, when an International company set up right next door to a small established family business in Etruria. He was all for it - the slimy toad, definitely rotten to the core.
Where's his other face?
