Loyalty

A man once told me if you want loyalty, go get a dog, don't expect it from people - how right he was.

The Bully

Then we have the bullies in society, the ones who, through greed and avarice, get away with it because people who could do something to stop the bully are without scruples or balls, they become more evil than the bully, they help them get away with it.

The Judas Pair

When I first heard this phrase it was explained to me that it was derived from the old days of dueling with pistols.

The one who made the accusation would provide the pistols, but unknown to the other was that the pistols although outwardly looking normal, would, when fired, fire the ball backwards, thereby mortally wounding whoever fired it.

Judas as most of us know is depicted in the Bible as a friend of Jesus Christ, but betrayed him for a bag of silver.

If the same is applied today but to two people who deny a loyal and devoted friend, thereby betraying that friend, they, the pair, rightly deserve the title of 'The Judas Pair', perhaps they have shot themselves, but not in the foot, all for a small bag of silver.
